Austin Family Foundation maps its future, partners with The Oregon Community Foundation to address Yamhill County’s needs

Portland, Ore. – November 6, 2017 – To help guide the Austin Family Foundation’s increasing philanthropic efforts, The Oregon Community Foundation (OCF) facilitated the first-of-its-kind Yamhill County Needs and Opportunity Assessment.

Through existing data, key stakeholder interviews and an online community survey, the 76-page assessment identifies current community strengths as well as opportunities where the Austin Family Foundation’s resources can be most effective.

“Joan and I settled in Newberg to raise a family, build a business and be part of a community,” said Ken Austin, co-founder of A-dec. “This town, this county, and the people who live and work here have given so much to our family that we want to give back to them and ensure a better future for their children and our communities.”
