Description

The Foundation Center’s report “Grantmaking to Communities of Color in Oregon,” published in 2010 with the support of GRANTMAKERS members, provided the first research on whether grantmaking to communities of color reflects the demographics of today’s Oregon.  GRANTMAKERS’ work on the research has led to conversations with the Coalition of Communities of Color, a Portland-based organization of over 40 culturally specific organizations.  The Coalition recently produced a set of recommendations that they hope will have a positive impact on funders and nonprofit organizations serving people of color, immigrants and refugees in our communities.

Join your colleagues to hear the Coalition’s perspectives on the urgent problem of inequity, an analysis of the 2010 report and suggestions for how funders can help improve the outcomes of communities of color in Oregon.
