Oregon is in the midst of a substantial transformation of its health system, with the focus shifting from the provision of health care to the promotion of health. These changes will affect all systems and communities in Oregon - well beyond the health care marketplace. Even if you are not a health funder, it is important to understand the system transformation that is taking place.
Come to this program to learn why the rest of the country is looking toward Oregon as a model. You’ll hear from:
- Mike Bonetto, Governor Kitzhaber’s health policy advisor about the Governor’s vision for health;
- The President and CEO of Legacy Health, George Brown, about the innovative way health care will be delivered to Portland’s Medicaid population;
- Sheryln Dahl, Benton County’s Health Deparatment Director, who will give the provider and patient perspective on the upcomiong changes; and
- Cauthy Kauffman of The Oregon Health Authority responsible for health care innovation about opportunities for funder involvement
