Thursday, February 16, 2017
February 16, 11:45 - 1:30 PM
DESCRIPTION:

THIS EVENT IS NOW AT CAPACITY. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN THIS PROGRAM.

In 2016, the Women’s Foundation of Oregon released Count Her In, the first comprehensive report on the status of women and girls in Oregon in over 20 years. Come and learn about the history of the Women’s Foundation of Oregon, its unique model for serving women and girls in Oregon, and the importance of the Count Her In findings, including the “Eight That Can’t Wait.” Former President of Portland Women’s Foundation, Mary Roberts, who oversaw its merger with Women’s Care Foundation, will share the story of the foundation’s genesis; and Women’s Foundation Executive Director, Emily Evans, will speak, followed by a discussion on the role of philanthropy outside of traditional forms of grantmaking, and a Q&A session.

Lunch is provided. This program aligns with our strategic directions to encourage new and diverse philanthropies and to embed equity in philanthropy throughout our region.
