Through the Transforming Health Care funding track, The Cambia Health Foundation works to promote economic sustainability within the U.S. health care system, supporting ideas and innovations that engage consumers and empower providers to improve quality, advance access, encourage accountability, increase efficiency and lower the cost of care.
Funding for this program track primarily focuses on:
- Enhancements in health information technology that improve quality of care, engage consumers and control costs.
- Exploring innovative models of care delivery and provider reimbursement while promoting patient and provider accountability.
- Supporting collaborative groups working toward proactive responses to national health care reform and health equity.
This position manages all components of grantmaking for the Transforming Health Care program track for The Cambia Health Foundation. Assists in increasing Cambia’s visibility throughout its markets, helps to enhance the positive image of the company in the communities it serves, and strengthens Cambia’s corporate reputation through developing and maintaining relationships with community leaders, corporate charitable giving partners and nonprofit organizations.
Fellows Program Director for Social Venture Partners Portland
Social Venture Partners is seeking a new Fellows Program Director to design, market and manage a rolling cohort of Encore Fellows, our program for seasoned professionals who are transitioning out of private sector positions and desire a substantial engagement with the nonprofit community. A mature Fellows program typically consists of a cohort of 10-–-20 Fellows, so the Program Director will help scale our program appropriately in 2012 and beyond. He/she will be responsible for community outreach and coordinating the involvement of the various program constituents: the Fellows, the nonprofit hosts, the sponsors, the Encore Fellowships Network, community leaders, and others as needed to achieve the growth and program objectives. The Director will serve part-–-time with flexible hours and must be self-motivated and self-–directed. Grantmakers for Education seeks qualified Member Services Specialist
Serving as the primary point of contact for many of GFE’s members, the Member Services Specialist plays an essential role in building and deepening our member relationships, while managing the dues collection that generates the organization’s revenue. Responsible for all aspects of the membership renewal process, the Member Services Specialist must track and manage data closely while maintaining impeccable communications and follow-through with members. The position also manages member recruitment and all grant tracking for the organization. As the primary liaison for members’ requests for referrals and assistance, the position must be resourceful in leveraging GFE’s staff and membership for solutions. Reporting to the Director of Finance & Operations and assisted by the Database & Administrative Coordinator, the Member Services Specialist will work closely with GFE’s other staff, board and our national network of members.
Based in Portland, OR, this position is a unique opportunity to be part of an entrepreneurial, diverse and collaborative team that is enhancing the impact of education philanthropy and working to improve outcomes and opportunities for all students. Oregon Volunteers Recruiting for Grants and Training Coordinator for CASA Program
This recruitment is for a limited-duration employment opportunity with the Oregon Volunteers Commission for Voluntary Action & Service of Oregon Housing & Community Services, located in Salem. This position is classified and is represented by a union. Representation requires payment of fair share or union dues. This position is currently funded through June 30, 2013 with the possibility to be extended through June 30, 2015 or longer.
The primary purpose of this position is to administer the state general fund allocation for local Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) programs, work with the leadership of the Oregon CASA Network to ensure quality performance in all local CASA program units, develop and implement quality training standards for CASA volunteers and staff, and support volunteer management training efforts statewide.
