Portland Timbers Community Fund proposals due June 2, 2017

he Portland Timbers Community Fund (PTCF), an advised fund of the Oregon Community Foundation, supports charitable, non-profit organizations that are registered as a 501(c)(3) with tax-exempt status from the IRS and are located within one of the four surrounding counties of the Portland metro area; Multnomah, Washington, Clackamas, and Clark County in SW Washington. Grant seeking organizations must fall under one of the following areas of focus:

  • Youth Education: an emphasis on all students reading at their grade levels, as well as STEM programming
  • Youth Health & Wellness: an emphasis on soccer and inclusiveness, embracing all ability levels
  • Environment: an emphasis on building awareness and activism through growing the greenbelt and gardens within city limits

The PTCF will not consider requests from individuals, private foundations, organizations that discriminate on the basis of race, class, gender, or national origin, organizations that support political campaigns or lobbyist groups, or fraternal or religiously affiliated organizations. The PTCF will discard requests from individual schools, PTOs, or PTAs. The PTCF will only review requests that are tied to a specific project at a nonprofit organization and will not consider donations that will be used for annual appeals, debt reduction, endowment funds, employee salaries, legal expenses and/or operational expenses.
