2020 GOSW Conference
The Past, Present, and Future of Philanthropy
This year’s conference will take place on May 27-29, 2020 at the Wildhorse Resort and Casino in Pendleton, Oregon. We anticipate up to 200 participants, each representing all levels of the philanthropic community.
This year’s theme, The Past, Present, and Future of Philanthropy, will explore:
- Exploring our region’s past;
- How we utilize our resources to influence and support current community issues (present);
- And what we hope for ourselves as a funding community as we enter a new decade in philanthropy (the future).
The 2020 GOSW Conference will utilize storytelling, shared experiences, and community learning practices to highlight why, where and how we support communities throughout our region. This year’s conference is an opportunity to deepen our understanding of one another through our philanthropic history so that we can leverage that knowledge into future practices. As has become our practice at GOSW, our goal is to create a learning environment that is rooted in a sense of community. We are working hard to shape an experience that not only connects you to your colleagues in the field, but incites you to imagine and build collaborative funding strategies for the future.
We have so many amazing stories to tell that will certainly help us bond, dream and build as a community, so please tell us yours. If you are interested in sharing your story at the 2020 GOSW Conference, please click here
and let the Conference Committee know what you are thinking. Thank you and we can’t wait to gather, share, learn and grow with you this year.
