Equity: Education and the Black Community

Since long before public education was mandatory, access to education for communities of color was a significant barrier that has had an impact even today. This second session in GOSW’s Equity Series will focus on education and the challenges of access to quality education has had in the Black community. Nonprofit leaders and experts will provide a history of the inequities in education, how it lands in today’s community and strategies on how philanthropy can help make the future of education in communities of color more equitable.
