A Note From the GOSW Board Chair
Staff Transitions at GOSW
Transitions are always bittersweet, especially within our close-knit community of funders. Julia Willis, who joined the GOSW staff to support our programming and other endeavors, recently announced her decision to pursue other opportunities. Many of you know Julia in her role as a former GOSW board member. Her contributions to this organization and to our field have been impactful and greatly appreciated. We are taking time to recalibrate this position based on the changing needs of GOSW and the philanthropic landscape.
Sherie Salzwedel, who has been supporting our office, membership and other operations-focused projects, recently shared that her husband has a fantastic opportunity to take a sabbatical in Spain, and she plans to join him. Sherie plans to stay with GOSW through the end of this month, and is assisting with the transition of her responsibilities to a temporary employee.
Julia and Sherie both helped to make our recent conference a great success, and we are very excited about where their next steps will lead them. Please join me in thanking Julia and Sherie for all of their efforts and wishing them the very best in their future endeavors.
